The elementary education curriculum reform of our country has passed more than ten years. High school curriculum reform will also go into the next ten years.With the development of history and education curriculum reform.The historical pictures have got considerable attention as a kind of important educational resources.How to develop the students' ability of unscrambling historical pictures has been the definite request in new curriculum standard,it also has been the important way to evaluate the historical learning situation of high school students. In the high school history teaching, emphasizing on the application of historical pictures is the needs of the development of their own educational value.It also fully conform to the highschool students' cognitive structure and can effectively promote the development of history teaching.This research guided by “the ordinary high school history curriculum standard(Experiment)”.On the basis of previous studies,combined with the author's teaching practice and some examples of teacher's teaching cases,Using literature,case analysis,sum up method,etc,analyzing and explaining how to use historical pictures of people's education press historical textbook. This paper will discuss the analysis and using of historical pictures from three aspects.The first part,will summarize the pictures in high school history textbook,including the definition of history pictures,classification of historical images,the advantages and disadvantages of historical images and so on.The second part will mainly discuss how to improve the teaching effect with the help of historical pictures.The last part will summarize the problems in images using according to practical activities,teachers' discussion and teaching examples on the internet.
