This paper using the theories of anthropology on the basis of local literature and f ield survey data, investigates Tunpu(garrison towns) village organizat ion, economic operation and the chariot of the power structure of the society in the local ceremony every year.Take the local ceremony for example,trying to illustrate relat ions between state power and local people in the history of change,and the meaning of traditional culture to the current rural society. Thesis consists of fiv e parts, including introduction and conclusion, the third chapter, the fourth chapter is the main part.The first chapter “introduction”, this paper briefly introduces the research origin, the object of study, relevant research results, points out that the specific research method is the use of “Culture nexus of power”, and the characteristics of the point into the field and the paper structure arrangement.Chapter two “The garrison on the post road of Ming army” introduced the history of the people,the role and identity transformation of Tunpu people,and the formation and change of rural traditional authority in the process.Chapter three “the village community in the Culture nexus of power”mainly descript the structure of Tunpu community, and all kinds of etiquette through people's life, lastly,introduce the community tradition which relation to the whole villiage life——Taipusa.Chapter four “The Club Fire of south of the Yangtze River in Tunpu” account of the author's experience in the field work, with Jiuxi, Baotun, Jichang for survey spot,discuss the general situation of Taipusa in Tunpu,preparations for the congregation,organizat ion for ceremony and the whole process.Chapter five“Conclusion”analyze order between villages,the border in the community,and power structure in the village.Discussed different forces on the shape of “authority” in the process of national modernizat ion, the relationship between national administrative power and rural traditional authority,etc.
