Research On The Effectiveness Of Ldeological And Political Education In Middle School Under The Background Of New Curriculum Reform

Abstract/Summary:
Ideological and political education is an important part of high school education in our country. Since the new century, with a new round of constant promotion and deepening of the basic education reform, traditional ideological and political education faced unprecedented challenges as other subjects. There are a series of problems to be solved, especially the lack of actual effect, which expose the shortcomings in our teaching. Based on foreign research, we use many ways including literature researching, separate interview and survey to study this issue. Finally, we summe up the following performances in ideological and political education which is lack of actual effect under the education reform in high school: first, the empty theories is hard to enter students’ minds; second, the traditional contents are not connected with students’ real life; third, the teaching method is simple and single, which is hard for students to understand; fourth, the teaching method is short of innovation, and students are not interested in that. Then, this thesis looked for the root causes, and found out the reasons why the inefficient exists in high school ideological and political classes. Firstly,the environment for students to grow up changes too fast, which ideological and political education can’t catch up with. Secondly, it’s hard for school to resist the social influences in its scope and depth. Thirdly, family have an impact on students’ attitudes and values too. The last, the school has its responsibility, including teaching ideas lag behind, teaching equipment is old, lack of teachers, and the study atmosphere is not strong. In order to meet the students’ studying requirements, the thesis gives the five suggestions: firstly, perfect the moral education system; secondly, correct the mistakes in family education; thirdly, create a harmony ideological and political education environment; fourth, innovative ideological and political education methods; fifth, use the invisible ideological and political education function in class. This thesis try to solve those problems from social factors, family factors, school factors, especially from students’ factors. Aiming at how to improve the ideological and political education’s actual effect in high school, this thesis suggests that school should improve the moral education system, and use the invisible ideological and political education function in class, which are new ideas. And it has values of reference and guidance to study other issues in high school ideological and political education.
