Investigation And Research On College Students’ View Of Integrity

The view of integrity among undergraduates is not only an important issue that attracts continuous attention from the field of ideological and political education since the 18 th CPC National Congress, but also a consequential task that must be solved during the development of China’s tertiary education. The essay chooses the view of integrity among undergraduates as the object of study. On the basis of empirical study, the essay analyzes the existing opinions and research results, and discusses the current situation of the view of integrity, the causes of missing integrity and the related countermeasures from three major aspects of academy, life and job hunting. The essay focuses on the analysis and discussion of the following four aspects.First, the essay uses literature research method to have an understanding of the historical development of the view of integrity among undergraduates. From the perspectives of historical materialism, the opinions on integrity of Xi Jinping, and the Confucian sincerity concept, the essay deeply analyzes the research direction of the sincerity concept among undergraduates according to the demands of the time. Through the research on basic issues such as the connotation, constitution, essence, status and role of sincerity concept, the essay sorts out the historical development of the view of integrity among the Chinese. Then, the essay analyzes the significance of the education of sincerity concept among undergraduates from theoretical and realistic field, thus laying a good foundation for empirical study and further rational exploration.Second, the essay analyzes the current situation of the sincerity concept among undergraduates by means of empirical approach and individual interview. In general, the sincerity concept among undergraduates meets the requirements of the socialist core values. However, some undergraduates lack of integrity in academy, life and job hunting, namely the credit default among undergraduates.Third, the essay systematically dissects the reasons behind the lack of sincerity concept among undergraduates, among others, the main cause is the undergraduates’ incorrect cognitive of integrity, which includes the lack of sincerity concept in the field of academy, life and job hunting. In addition, the missing integrity in macro environment also aggravates missing integrity among undergraduates, which includes unhealthy social trends, the benefit-seeking market economy, and the negative effects of utilitarianism and hedonism brought by Western thoughts.Fourth, based on the rational thinking of the education on sincerity concept among undergraduates, the essay analyzes the Marxian thoughts of integrity, the cultural inheritance of Chinese traditional sincerity concept, and the basic requirements of the socialist core values. In consideration of the requirements of the benign development of the society and the socialist core values, according to the demands of the time and the current social environment, system and mechanism, the essay analyzes and discusses the major goals, fundamental principles, and countermeasures of the education on sincerity concept among undergraduates. Education on sincerity concept among undergraduates should be aimed at serving the talent training of the socialism with Chinese characteristics, promoting the free and comprehensive development of undergraduates, and building harmonious socialist society. Education on sincerity concept among undergraduates should stick to the basic principles of combining subjectivity and dominance, theory and practice, and self-discipline and heteronomy. The essay puts forward the major ways concerning the education on sincerity concept among undergraduates from the following four aspects: first, the build of good social environment by social organizations; second, the improvement of moral cognition among undergraduates by school education; third, the cultivation of integrity by family education; fourth, the enhancement of comprehensive qualities by self-education.
