Wei Shusheng, a pioneer of modern teaching reform in China, haembodied the new curriculum concept advocated by now. Among them, the six step teaching method is an important embodiment of Wei Shusheng's education thought and practice, and is also the most successful example of the teaching mode of self learning guidance. Thirty years, Wei Shusheng six step teaching method by many schools, learning,imitation, Yangsi "learning before teaching, classroom training, Shandong Dulangkou" 333"mode, effect; and his educational thoughts and practice more reflected in the new classroom self-study guide mode all variant.In order to study and practice the six step teaching(namely the self taught mode), this paper uses the following methods to study the specific application details of Wei Shusheng.First, by reading the literatures, sorting out the application value and limitation of Wei Shusheng's six step teaching method; secondly, combination of various aspects of the six step teaching method to the problems, such as excessive interference, goal orientation and self discussion, self neglect students' autonomy, discuss the form and answering echo what the books say uninspired. Neglect the cultivation of students, analyzing the test ability, pay attention to classroom summary, lack of humanity of these problems, and its application value and limitation, design the questionnaire, a questionnaire survey was conducted in the Meizhou area, a more comprehensive understanding of the true six step teaching method(self-study guide model) in actual application situation; finally, the education thought and practice combined with Wei Shusheng's "education, democracy, science, and personal knowledge on teaching, on the results of survey data Carries on the research analysis, three principles of students, teachers must follow the application of Wei Shusheng's six step teaching method of democracy, the flexible, reasonable choice of goal orientation, learning and discussion process should adhere to the students as the main body, self-study and discussion should adhere to the students as the main body, to discuss the requirements to refine, answer to be reasonable, thoughtful, cultivating students' ability, classroom questions analysis summary to democracy, development, improve humanities; according to the actual situation of flexible selection of teaching mode; design to ensure the amount of work of students' physical and mental health; specific measures of financial management in Teaching, provide a reference for teachers using Wei Shusheng's six step teaching method.Wei Shusheng six step teaching method is to the goal is clear, teaching compact, guide students to self-study, the characteristics of the system science the increase learning efficiency,to lead the students to learn by themselves, for the advantage of all the students, but also precisely because of these characteristics caused the suitable style is limited, increase the student schoolwork burden and limitations. In addition, the lack of teachers in the specific application, together led to the step teaching method of the problem of poor application effect of the six step. Teachers should combine their own teaching situation, adhere to the principles of democracy, student body, the principle of self- learning ability, flexible application of countermeasures to improve teaching.
