As the western development strategy implementation, the national economic growth point gradually moves westward, the rich resources, wide development space and a large number of employment opportunities have become the important driving factors of population migration in Xinjiang. Because of the imbalance of population, economic and social resources between Xinjiang with mainland provinces and area counties in Xinjiang, the migration of population in Xinjiang also has difference in spatial distribution and migration scale. Xinjiang is the northwest frontier provinces in China, traffic facilities and the hysteresis of information transmission seriously restrict the population migration in Xinjiang. For this reason, the article is based on the latest census data, combines with the existing research results, analyzes spatial characteristics and influence factors of population migration in Xinjiang.Firstly, in the view of the research objects and research purpose, this article identifies research ideas and methods, summarizes the foreign relevant theoretical achievements of population migration and policy models. Also, this article summarizes the dynamic research about population migration way, characteristics and spatial pattern of domestic in the present.Secondly, base on the existing research the paper uses the latest census data of national and Xinjiang, calendar year statistical yearbook and the data by calculation sorting, and conducts descriptive statistical analysis of the spatial distribution of population migration, migration distance and migration scale, finally finds out the current space characteristics of Xinjiang's population migration. Finally,on the basis of space characteristics of Xinjiang population migration and the current theory of predecessors' research, this paper establishes the multiple regression model, selects indicators about economic factors, social factors and natural factors, analyzes the factors which have affection on spatial pattern of population migration in Xinjiang by using the cross-section data. Studies have shown that Xinjiang provincial population migration is affected by the economic factors and social factors. And among all influencing factors, per capital GDP, tertiary industry output value, employment opportunities and the history dates of population migration show obvious thrust to provincial population migration in Xinjiang. While the minority population proportion of of all provinces shows the obvious bloking effect to provincial population migration in Xinjiang. Compared with economic factors and social factors, natural factors have slightly influence to provincial population migration in Xinjiang. The result further verifies that provincial population migration in Xinjiang have apparently "enclave" migration characteristics. Population migration in Xinjiang is affected by social factors obviously, the article selects three of indicators of society factors what might affect on the population migration in Xinjiang. All of these indexes pass through the test of the regression model, the total population and the history dates of population migration have significant positive effect on population migration in Xinjiang, while the minority population proportion in Xinjiang has a significant negative impact on population migration in Xinjiang. And only the index of per capita GDP of economic factors passes through significance test, which represents significant negative impact on population migration in Xinjiang, the location of natural factors don't have obvious influence on population migration in Xinjiang.
