Body is the foundation of individual socialization in social practice, and people's socialization is body socialization in the first place. After body experiences "invisibility" to "visibility" and mind-body dualism to mind-body monism, it begins to enter a climax period of people' study on body. Since the advent of French sociologist Foucault's micro-power theory, body discipline has become a new perspective of research. School is not only the main field of individual socialization, but also a basic field of micro-power operation, so body in this field will no doubt be disciplined by micro-power in the process of socialization. For this reason, body discipline has become a topic that we can not avoid talking.According to the current state of Chinese educationalists' study on body discipline, the most of scholars think that body discipline is the crisis of modern education, which is a kind of evil and a cancer, or even they think that body discipline can only cultivate people's slavishness, but a small number of scholars believe that body discipline is a kind of phenomenon of civilization, and it has its rationality and necessity of existence. In connection with this, the researcher selects the S school to carry through an empirical study. It aims to argue that body discipline has some certain rationality and necessity. Therefore, we should view body discipline dialectically, not totally repudiate the value of body discipline.This study is a qualitative study that is a case on the S school. In the school filed, students are the main object of being disciplined, while teachers are the secondary object. Therefore, in this study the researcher selects students as the main object, and teachers as the secondary object. The research methods include literature analysis, interview method, observation method, and physical analysis. The researcher firstly uses literature analysis to search and analysis some literature related with body discipline to determine the research question and the main train of thought. Then, the researcher selects the S school to carry through a field research for two months. In order to avoid the object's sensitivity on body discipline, the researcher gives priority to use open interviews. With the deepening of the research and the object's defensive psychology disappearance, the researcher combines with semi-structured interviews. In addition, the researcher also uses observation method, mainly the classroom observation, post-course observation as the auxiliary pole. The observing ways include participant observation, semi-participant observation, and non-participant observation. Besides, the researcher also uses physical analysis. The researcher takes photos on some material objects related with the research topic, or transforms some photos into the form of text. By the means of studying and analyzing the material objects, the research topic is further completed. Through the use of the above methods, the researcher obtains abundant empirical materials about body discipline and forms completed train of thought.The thesis is divided into the following several parts:The Introduction part mainly elaborates the research reasons, the research purposes, the research significance, micro-power theory, the research status of domestic and foreign scholars on body discipline, the core concept definition, the research contents, the research methods, brief introduction about the S school, and the research process.The chapter one is study on body discipline of spatial pattern. In accordance with the order of the spatial pattern from large to small, the hidden body discipline is explicitly rendered out by the way of progressive transformation. Firstly, the researcher studies from the perspective of the closed school space, and then studies on the space layout of the teaching building. Finally, it is refined to the classroom space. According to this clue, it is revealed that people who have discipline power use the means of space allocation to discipline other people's body. Combined with the specific situation, the researcher makes rational judgments on it.The chapter two is study on body discipline of rules and regulations. It discusses about time system, behavior system, teacher's teaching inspection system, students' nap rules, and students' safety management system. With the present of the empirical materials, the discipline power that is hidden behind these systems is revealed. People who have discipline power take advantage of their legal discipline power which is given by their occupied status to make all kinds of rules and regulations to achieve their aims at disciplining teachers'and students'body. The body discipline in these rules and regulations has some phenomenon of reasonable implementation, but also has some phenomenon of disguised implementation. Therefore, we should rationally screen and improve the unreasonable factors.The chapter three is study on body discipline of classroom teaching. This place is the most intensive body discipline during school filed. In this part, it talks about classroom hierarchical supervision, classroom study code of conduct, the imbalanced development of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education, classroom label effect, teachers'power anomie in classroom. Through study on these five topics, the researcher analyzes the body discipline that teachers and students suffer in classroom. In these body disciplines, there is not only rational implementation of discipline power, but also alienation of discipline power. During the three links of the orientation of discipline purpose, the choice of discipline methods, as well as the implementation of discipline, it will produce evil discipline results with improper use in any link.Therefore, we should carefully check to fight evil body discipline.The chapter four is study on resistance and escape for body discipline. As disciplined subjects——teachers and students, they do not obey blindly for all the time, they will also choose resistance or escaped ways to evade body discipline that people who have disciplinary power imposed. The researcher discusses five resistant tactics in detail, which include anti-hierarchical supervision, spatial "absence" and "colonization", "wig" tactics, hidden conflicts, resistance in public. From the pattern of manifestation of these five resistant tactics, there is not only constructive, but also destructive. Therefore, we should rationally treat these boycotts triggered by body discipline in the school field.The final part is summary and reflection. The researcher reiterates her standpoint on body discipline in the school field. Through reflection on discipline and discipline, discipline and freedom, discipline and enlightenment, body discipline and body enlightenment, the researcher thinks that only body discipline and body enlightenment perfectly combine with each other, it will be conductive to the development of education. The researcher calls for us to carry on the rational cognition on body discipline. Meanwhile, the researcher asks us not to overly infatuate with its instrumental value in order to let body discipline can be legally and rationally used with humanity.
