As an important part of science education,Chemistry in high school connects the chemistry education of different stages in compulsory period, which plays irreplaceable role in promoting the all-round development of students.Chemistry in high school includes two required modules and six selective modules. The required modules serve as the base for the whole chemistry learning,of which the Compulsory chemistry One is the foundation. However, nowadays the phenomenon concerns many teachers deeply that some students lose their interest in chemistry after finishing the learning of Compulsory chemistry One in first semester.Survey shows that the reason is the knowledge in it is more difficult to learn.New curriculum requires teachers should handle difficult points in textbook properly and take into account the different levels of students in order to improve teaching effect and develop students' interest in chemistry.Such process will improve students' ability of thinking,problem-solving and self-learning.This paper studies from four dimensions:(1)definition of difficult points and related theoretical research.(2)survey on difficult points and analysis of the result.(3)cause analysis on difficult points.(4)proposing teaching suggestion.Based on the First required Textbook Published by Jiangsu Education Press, the study lists knowledge points in each chapter and designs questionnaire to investigate both on students and teachers in grade one.The independent T-test on the result shows no significant difference, which indicates there is great similarity between students and teachers on difficult points in whole textbook. But what about the knowledge points? Based on the requirements of High School Chemistry Curriculum Standards,Chemistry Teaching in Fujian requirements and Science Comprehensive Exam Description in Fujian, the 15 difficult points are further divided into 63 knowledge points and put into investigation again. The independent T-test on survey result shows significant difference between students and teachers.Combining the result of questionnaire, interview and assignments, this study identifies the difficultpoints students will encounter in their learning.Lastly, based on investigation, observation in class and some teaching theories, this study attempts to analyze the reason for difficult points and propose some teaching suggestion.
