“The Teaching History of the Chemistry” is a topic which maintains the old elements and new trends. Viewed from the concept of chemistry history,the history of the chemistry is regarded as a science which researches the origin, development and formation of Chemical Science. The concept of the teaching history in the chemistry is renewing. From the ancient era to our day,all the specialists and educationists had never stop the steps in exploring the educational value upon the history of the chemistry. However, most studies have focused on the exploration of chemistry history education value,concentrated on the theoretical level. In the study of the teaching level of the history of chemistry, the chemistry history knowledge is only partly penetrated in the teaching content of the chemistry knowledge. Up to today,there is not a good specific teaching mode of chemical history to the practical teaching. In order to satisfied the requirements of contemporary education, the educational expectations of the parents, the needs of the development of students themselves and the teaching demands of teachers,it is necessary to build an educational model of Chemistry Teaching, which can be used for students to know knowledge, stimulate their interest in learning chemistry,and cultivate their abilities to grasp the scientific methods of studying and improve the ability of independent innovation. In the end, “three lines”teaching mode is defined, which is “the history line”, “the inquiry line” and“the knowledge line”.The narrator developed in this mode was based on the “three lines”teaching method produced by Bao Qiulan. The following process is the specific elaboration. The history line is a kind of teaching process, which takes the history as the background in order to create the exploringatmosphere, and to teach knowledge from the time sequence by multimedia.The purpose is to cultivate students understanding the sequence of events and the evolution process of the knowledge, and students learn scientific method of research. The inquiry line means that students should explore the history of chemistry. On the one hand, it can help students master scientific research methods through which chemists found or used, such as experimental simulation, experience of scientists and the feelings of chemists. The purpose of "the knowledge line" is to make students understand the meaning of the knowledge point by explaining the chemical knowledge and the experimental principles of chemistry. In order to examine the effect of the revised teaching model, students of two classes of the grade 3 were chosen in the 42 th Middle School in BAOTOU.The results of teaching practice showed that the average scores in the final examination and the post test of experimental class were 63.38 and 31.35,respectively, the control group were 55.71 and 27.13, respectively. The test results of two independent samples showed that there were significant differences between the experimental class and the control class, and the grade of the experimental class is significantly better than the control group.Through the questions and further analysis the situation of students' answer,students in the experimental class is better than students in the comparative class in understanding the cause, mastering the scientific experiment method,promoting scientific inquiry ability. "Three lines" teaching model in the compulsory education stage is an effective teaching mode.
