As the development of information technology,the disadvantage of traditional classroom-based learning and E-Learning is emerging increasingly.In order to meet students growing learning requirements, blended learning appeared.Blended learning is a mixture of traditional classroom-based learning and online learning.Blended learning in America K-12 education developed in advance of other countries and has made some progress,it has its own theory foundations and background.The Constructivism learning theory,Humanistic learning theory and Innovation theory etc.These theories are the theory basis of Blended learning.In this study,the author studied mainly from educational, institutional and technical perspectives and introduced many typical blended learning models of American K-12 education.The author analyzed the characteristics of these different types of blended learning models and the cases by summarizing some specific blended school cases.The blended learning of American K-12 education takes the students as the center, focus on the depth of blending, and attaches importance to the interactions between teachers and students online and offline.However, there are some problems.In the last part of this study, the author analyzed the existing problems and challenges from technology, teaching and institutional perspectives.In view of the future development of blended learning,the author provided some proposals from four aspects,mainly in the role of teacher,classroom management method and strategy,the effectiveness of resource access and utilization.
