Writing is the most important part of native language teaching,which is the core content in basic education in every nation.From the view of the character that native language teaching is both humanistic and instrumental,writing can be departed into two parts,literary writing and practical writing.In the basic education of our country,we play particular emphasis on literary writing.Although the educator Ye Shengtao said again and again that the principle of teaching in middle school is to write applied article,other people don't think in this way.Meanwhile,writing in senior high school entrance examination and college entrance examination,is always about argumentation,which lead to the degeneration of students' practical writing ability.Students even cannot write a request for leave.If students cannot write a simple letter or summary after graduation,the task of native language teaching,as the core course in the basic education,is failure.So the education should lay an eye on students' needs on work after they enter the society,and practical writing should be regarded as a must quality,and lay a solid foundation for students to join in the future life.This is what the writing should emphasize on at present.The composition in college entrance examination of new curriculum version in 2015 is about practical writing.It was said by someone marking the paper that there were only 60 percent students who can completed the writing of a letter,and the rest had mistakes more or less.The phenomenon proves that the practical writing ability of high school students is deficiency.So the writer of this paper decided to do some research about the teaching of practical writing in high school.The article consists of five parts.The first chapter is exordium,about the reasons,meanings,methods that used in this article when writing.And make a clear definition about practical writing.The second chapter is about present situation in our own country.By making questionnaire and interview,analyzing curriculum standard and Chinese textbooks,the writer can know more about practical writing in detail,and point out questions in teaching.The third chapter is about present situation in foreign country,and introduces the advanced educational idea,and teaching methods.The forth chapter is the most important part.It refers to the methods and strategies from macroscopic aspect to microscopic aspect to improve the present situation in our high school.The last chapter is summary,making an ending to the article.
