Study On Copyright Protection Of Single-Word Fonts

The word font is a kind of knowledge product that can be replicable by designer and transformed through computer technology.It has the dual attributes of art works and computer software works in the form and is widely used in advertising and product packaging.Due to its special properties,and China's current “copyright law ”and “Regulations on the implementation of the copyright Law” does not make a clear provision on the protection.On the protection of words to make clear that the font properties,and the protection of the controversy about the word font intensified,at the same time,the word font infringement cases emerge in an endless stream,tort phenomenon even more serious.In this case,it is particularly important to enhance the protection of character font.At present,there is a great controversy about whether the monographs belong to the works covered by the copyright Law,but the academic circles have not reached a unified view,and the judgment on the infringement cases of single characters in judicial practice is not uniform.In the view of opposing the copyright of monographs,it is believed that the legal protection of character fonts will damage the public interest and even affect the spread of culture.However,this is not the case.Currently,the infringement cases are caused by commercial publishing,and no infringement caused by personal use has been found.Copyright protection of single-character fonts does not affect the public interest,while allowing the infringement of single-character fonts will seriously damage the interests of copyright owners,is not conducive to the development of the font industry.In this paper,first of all,the theoretical controversy about the attributes of single character fonts is combed out,and the tort and phenomenon existing in word fonts are investigated.On the basis of analyzing the necessity and feasibility of the protection of single character fonts,This paper puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the protection of Chinese monographs.In general,the full text of the problem,analysis of the problem,the train of thought to solve the problem.The article is divided into four parts.The first part combs the relevant views and defines the attributes of the character font.At the same time,it investigates and analyzes the current situation of the infringement of the character font.The second part is based onthe theoretical basis of legal protection of single-character font,and analyzes the character font.The necessity and feasibility of legal protection lay the foundation for the later discussion.The third part investigates the legal protection system of single character font at home and abroad,analyzes the protection system of single character font in foreign countries,Hong Kong and Taiwan area,and draws inspiration from it.The last part is a few suggestions to perfect the legal protection of single character font in our country,including determining the object and scope of the protection of single character font,defining the originality standard and separability standard of the recognition of single character font,and so on.The protection of law is the premise of the development of industry.Therefore,the article aims to give effective and appropriate protection to the copyright owner of the character font through the study of the character font,and to realize the work of the copyright owner.The balance between the rights and social interests promotes the development of social economy and font industry.
