Since the establishment of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2001,it has experienced a very important expansion, that is,in 2015 agreed to start the process of receiving India and Pakistan. In 2017,the process of accepting new members was finally completed, and India and Pakistan became full members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. This is not only the need for organizational development, but also the result of the continuous development of multipolarity in the world. This article tries to find out why India has joined the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the possible impact. In order to answer this question,it is very necessary to understand the current geopolitical relations and the surrounding environment in India. What kind of bilateral relations exist between India and Russia,China and Central Asian countries? How do these relationships affect India's national strategy and national interests? Why did the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization support India's accession? How will India's accession affect the positioning and nature of the organization? This article will be discussed from the following three parts: The first part is the history of development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the expansion of its staff. It lays the foundation for exploring the reasons for India's accession to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization;the second part studies the international situation in India and the core of India.National interests are used as a starting point to discuss the reasons for India's accession to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The third part is to predict the impact of India's accession on the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and its members. The national strategic needs and the development needs of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization are key factors for India's successful participation.India's pursuit of the status of a major nation and national security guarantees are the core elements of its participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.International political status and national security are India's most concerned national interests. This is related to India's traditions and related to its international environment. The search for more opportunities for economic cooperation, theimprovement of India's infrastructure construction, and the promotion of a sustained and stable development of its economy are also goals that India hopes to achieve through the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.India's accession will increase the security cooperation resources of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and expand the space for the organization's economic cooperation. However,it will also exert great pressure on the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which will cause more challenges to the organization's internal mechanism and external activities. In addition,India's accession will also bring many challenges to the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, especially China. The fluctuating relationship between China and India has been an important obstacle to China-India exchanges and cooperation.India's accession may bring more opportunities for cooperation between the two countries. However,if the relationship between the two cannot be developed in the short term,India's accession to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is more likely to reduce China's voice and influence in the organization.Harm China's interests within the organization.
