New Understanding On The Formation Of The Chinese Working Class In Modern History

Research on the formation of the modern working class of China,scholars tend to from the perspective of the revolutionary tradition of political analysis and demonstration,that the working class has the congenital advantage of revolution,from the outside to instill the Marxism class struggle theory,wake up the class consciousness,so as to realize by "class for itself" to "self for the transformation of class",and become the leading force in the revolutionary movement in China.However,due to the excessive emphasis on the external force of the formation of the working class,the autonomy of the workers and the complexity of the course of the formation of the class can not be covered.This article tries from labor’s demands and the action strategies of learning from the theory and method of the new labor history,focusing on through interpretation of the workers of the historical cultural background,living environment and life experience,re recognize the formation of modern Chinese working class.In modern China,with the decline of the traditional economy and the rise of modern factories,some farmers and traditional craftsmen turned into factory workers.From their familiar with stable,patriarchal community protection of agricultural society,into the strange,strong liquidity and lack a sense of security of the industrial society,because it is difficult to adapt to the new production organization,interests distribution and plant life,resulting in a sense of frustration.To this end,they have a variety of forms of struggle to maintain their own interests,an area of a very new social protection.In this process,they use various cultural resources and social relations,to fight for their own living space,thus the formation of the Workers Cultural "groups" of the working class consciousness,deeply hit the stigma of region,industry,technology,culture,traditions and customs.It can be said that the modern Chineseworkers from the beginning is not just a single economic or political sense of the subject,more reflected in a comprehensive cultural products and a series of practical social relations.With communist consciousness of Chinese advanced elements and early Communists,their transformation of the theory of the Marx class,to a large extent based on the reality of Chinese workers.Thus what they reveal "stand up shots of social mobilization theme,and workers building the organization and maintenance of the interests of the working class politics,just meet workers eager to seek protection efforts,improve the survival of a state of internal demand.Under the interaction of the two forces,the working class has realized the transformation from "free class" to "self-class".However,the cultural traditions and social relations that dominate the workers’ groups are still playing a role in their "class" existence.Geopolitics,industry,technology,gender,educational level,the differences are caused by the internal differentiation,guild,gang,the first old forces of organized workers segmentation and the resulting diversity interest demands,all of the workers and class formation and political action to bring about adverse effects.Early labor movement in China is more dispersed,action a and setbacks,and these traditional factors are closely related.
