Since China's entry into an aging society in 1999,due to the influence of such factors as the population flow between urban and rural areas, the degree of aging in rural areas is more serious than that in cities and towns, and the rate of aging is faster than that in cities and towns.Compared with urban areas, the basic pension in rural areas is relatively weak, and the development of pension services lags behind. The content of pension services is relatively simple.Against the background of the fact that family support is still the main form of retirement in rural areas, those elderly men who have never married in their lifetime are less likely to have old-age support from their wives and children, are less likely to rely on family support and are left without support. This paper refers to those rural men who have never married over the age of 60 as rural elderly unmarried men.By analyzing the demand and supply of old-age unmarried men in rural areas,we can identify the real demands of unmarried men in old age, deepen our understanding of rural old-age pension and improve the rural social security system to improve the living conditions of rural elderly unmarried men in rural areas. In 2016,Chongqing ranked first in western China and sixth in the country.Taking Wubao Town in Chongqing as an example, this paper analyzes the demand and supply of the rural elderly unmarried men pension in rural by using a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods.Through the regression of the existing research in academia,we define the demand and supply of the aged and divide the needs of the elderly into economic support, life care, spiritual comfort, security demand and social security demand, and divide the old-age pension into families, the government and thesociety.Through field investigation, the rural elderly unmarried men in the pension way are divided into: rely on their own old-age,relatives and old-age pension, the five guarantees home care, pension at welfare institutions. From the analysis results,in terms of pension demand, due to differences in physical health, economic income and family status, the elderly pension demand of rural elderly are diverse in their needs.Rely on their own old-age rural unmarried men and elderly living in Wubao home and poor health of unmarried men have a stronger financial support for the demand of the elderly living in the rural areas of the Five Guarantees elderly unmarried men on the life care and spiritual comfort Higher demand, elderly men and women in the elderly pension homes for the high spiritual comfort have a higher demand. In terms of pension provision, the government provided a low level of endowment insurance for rural elderly unmarried men and a narrow social assistance coverage, which can not effectively meet the actual needs of the elderly. However, the family's financial support to elderly unmarried men in rural areas is weak,And mental comfort;the social pension service is in the initial stage of rural development.Except for the elderly unmarried men in rural areas who are pensionable in the welfare institutions, other rural elderly unmarried men enjoy social-service elderly social workers. In order to improve the imbalance between the rural elderly unmarried men's pension demand and supply in rural areas, this paper proposes the following suggestions:develop local economy in line with local conditions and set up special funds for pensions;upgrade and transform rural old-age care facilities and provide specialized nursing staff;expand rural pension coverage, improve feedback and supervision mechanisms for old-age care services, promote rural social pension service development, and promote and improve rural mutual aid and pension care models;pay attention to the care of unmarried men in rural areas.
