General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly stressed that "revolutionary history is the nutrient for us" and that "the revolutionary tradition must be carried forward to educate people and foster their spirit and morality." What we must keep in mind is that the revolutionary culture is "a spiritual identity with uniqueness for the Chinese nation."The revolutionary culture,the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation and the advanced socialist culture constitute the rich meaning of the socialist culture with Chinese characteristics.They are also an important source of "cultural self-confidence"of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the spiritual pillar for realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Revolutionary culture bears the features of its ideality and leading,and it is also historic and fighting.The greater the time span between revolutionary struggle and peace building,the more burdensome tasks of the revolutionary cultural inheritance and the more profound significance for it.The revolutionary culture embodies "the beginner's mind" that many martyrs struggled for the country and the nation,and it is the correct answer to the choice history and the people have made for the Chinese Communist Party and the socialism." Therefore,the oblivion and erosion of the revolutionary culture are in the final analysis the destruction of our party's governing foundations,and it is our inescapable responsibilities to protect the revolutionary cultural resources,safeguard the dignity of the revolutionary heroes and to pass on the revolutionary tradition.The paper follows the thinking model of "what it is","why it can be" and "how we can do",and aims to discuss "creative inheritance of revolutionary culture in the new era" in the following four aspects: the first is about the study on the importance of the creative inheritance of revolutionary culture in the new era,the defining on theconnotative and denotative meanings of the revolutionary culture and the significance of the revolutionary cultural creative inheritance in combination with the building socialism with Chinese characteristics,the "four confidences",and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.The second is about the historical experience of our party's revolutionary cultural inheritance.Through summing up the experience of the revolutionary cultural inheritance in historical periods of our party,explored are the rules and principles which should be followed in the creative inheritance of the revolutionary culture in the new era.The third is about the challenges facing the creative inheritance of the revolutionary culture in the new era.Based on analysis of the difficulties existing in the process of creative inheritance revolutionary culture,specific countermeasures and suggestions are put forward specifically.The fourth is about the path on its creative inheritance of the revolutionary culture in the new era.Combined with the characteristics of the times and the challenges of reality,possible ways for the creative inheritance of revolutionary culture are expounded in detail from the aspects of protecting revolutionary cultural resources,defending the dignity of revolutionary culture,and upholding the status of revolutionary culture and rejuvenating the revolutionary culture.In the process of the topic choosing and essays writing,the more in-depth the understanding of "revolutionary culture" is,the more easily it is found that this is a subject which needs in-depth study or research on it.Whether for an elaboration on the importance of revolutionary cultural creative inheritance or for the discussion on how to enhance the creative inheritance of revolutionary culture,there is a question of how theory fits with practice and how theory guides practice.This is the field where much of work still needs to be devoted in the future.
