Research On Participation Of Older Persons In Urban Community Volunteerism

With the increase of elderly population in China,the participation of elderly pe ople in urban communities has become an important topic.The participation of the e-lderly in voluntary service is not only the main content of social work,but also an important part of the voluntary service in our country.The elderly have plenty of time to play an active role in community environmental protection,public security,and elderly support.Therefore,it is of great significance not only to build a beauti ful and harmonious community,but also to realize their own value and obtain spirit ual satisfaction by arousing the active participation of the elderly in the community and making full use of the elderly human resources.In this paper,the elderly who participated in voluntary service in Jinyuan community in Huaibei City were chosen as the research objects.The research materials were collected by questionnaire,interview and literature research.Firstly,according to the collected questionnaire data and interview content,the paper analyzes the cur rent situation of the elderly participating in volunteer service,introduces the general situation of the elderly participating in the development of voluntary service.The content,motivation and other aspects were discussed,and the content,platform,mot ivation and motivation of the elderly satisfaction with the voluntary service were in vestigated at the same time.Second,the analysis of the elderly when participating in community volunteerism,The problems include that the service content is more tra ditional and single,the participation ability does not match with the post demand,t he participation lacks the continuity,the participation lacks standard and the efficie ncy,the old people pay less attention to the volunteer service and so on.In view of the problems of the elderly in the process of participation,this paper analyzes the causes of the problems,including the imperfect and lack of maneuverability of the elderly volunteer service system,the unbalanced development and weak strength of the volunteer service platform,The security system of the elderly's participation in voluntary service is not perfect,the structured incentive to the elderly volunteers is neglected,the performance evaluation of the elderly volunteer service is lacking,a nd the suggestions on how to promote the elderly's participation in voluntary servi ce are put forward effectively.Finally,this paper discusses the relevant countermeas ures and suggestions to improve the participation of the elderly in urban communiti es,and puts forward favorable suggestions from the perspectives of governsociety,community and individuals in order to promote the healthy and sustainable development of the cause of voluntary service for the elderly.
