The institutionalization of political parties is not only the core issue of political development in any country, but also the strong guarantee to realize its political stability.Political parties with low level of institutionalization can cause political disorder, political development and even social unrest.Judging from the real political situation in Malaysia, since the founding of Malaysia until now,it has been the ruling coalition that controls the state power, and UMNO has always been in the leading position of the ruling Union Party. Therefore, this paper focuses on the establishment of the ruling coalition led by UMNO.The first part of this paper mainly discusses some basic concepts of political party institutionalization, which provides the theoretical basis for the following discussion. The institutionalization of political parties is a dynamic process in which organizations obtain political stability through modeling, regularization and procedure.Politically maintaining the stability of the political system, economically, the development of the economic structure model conducive to social harmony can better improve the level of political party institutionalization, and culturally, the consensus culture is conducive to improving the level of political party institutionalization. This paper comprehensively combs the measurement standards of political party institutionalization at home and abroad, and puts forward the following four standards: social foundation, organizational structure, autonomy and cohesion of political party. The institutionalization of political parties is conducive to maintaining the social community, realizing the public interest, promoting social consistency, realizing the legalization of political life, and realizing political stability. The pattern of Malaysian political party system was influenced not only by the colonial period, but also by the traditional authority. As a result,it formed a one-party dominant political party structure. However, with the arrival of the wave of democratization,Malaysia was also affected. In the 2008 general election appeared the "two-line system" rudimentary. The institutionalization of political parties in Malaysia has a certain foundation.Politically,Malaysia has a unified political authority from the colonial period to the present, which can maintain the stability of the political system;economically,An economic structure conducive to social harmony and a coherent economic plan are conducive to the development of the institutionalization of political parties.Although most of the wealth in the colonial period went into the hands of the colonists,Asia had certain experience in the direction of economic development. In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China,it formulated an economic plan suited to the national conditions, which laid a solid economic foundation for the institutionalization of political parties.Culturally,Malaysia,as a multi-ethnic and religious country,is characterized by heterogeneity and pluralism, which to a certain extent is detrimental to social harmony and national development. Therefore,it is necessary to build a cultural consensus for the institutionalization of political parties in Malaysia. This part discusses the construction of the social foundation of political parties, the organizational structure of political parties, the autonomy of political parties and the cohesion of political parties during the period of Malaysian authoritarianism and transition of democratization.Political parties generally express the social foundation of political parties through three aspects: the age of political parties, the intergenerational inheritance of leaders and the flexibility of functions. The organizational structure of the political party is mainly viewed from the large lower organizational structure. The autonomy of political parties refers to the independence of political parties both internally and externally, independent of national interest groups and international powers. The realization of cohesion is mainly to reduce differences, increase consensus and strengthen ideological construction. The institutionalization of political parties is a dynamic process of development and an arduous task of keeping pace with the times. It will also encounter problems in the process of construction. This part is to discuss the problems encountered in the construction of political parties in Malaysia. The problems include the relationship between the party and the masses, the organizational structure of the political party, the autonomy of the party, the cohesion of the party, and so on.From the beginning of its establishment to the present, the construction of political party institutionalization runs through the development process of the whole political party alliance. The ruling coalition has formulated a series of policies and measures to promote the institutionalization construction according to the specific national conditions of the country and the party's own conditions. And achieved gratifying results. The results of these institutionalization can see some of the prospects for the development of the political party institutionalization in Malaysia: the transformation of the political pattern from the first line to the two line system will enhance the political legitimacy and political stability of Malaysia.
