The Behavior Of Square Dance Members To Participate In Village Committee Election And Its Influence Factors

Quality of village elections reflects the level of autonomy system development and maturity of community of villagers in rural areas.Under the background of hollow village,as migrant workers a large number of rural male are unable to attend village politics so that women has become an important subject of political and economic life in rural.In recent years,the organizational village women in the form of square dance groups,will gradually evolve into more influential political force.As a new form of women self-organization in modern rural and a microcosm of the development of community organizations,square dance implicitly embeds in all areas of village life.Its wide participation can provide some reference and inspiration for promoting rural women participation in politics and the development of village politics.In theory,the organization individual may show more initiative and enthusiasm in village elections.In real life,whether the style of square dance organization to promote the development of rural women political participation,it is worth further exploration.This paper is based on the sample frame of 10 villages in Shandong,Anhui,Gansu and other provinces of China in the east,middle and west regions.In addition,select women members who meet the election conditions as the object of questionnaire survey and interview.Then,comprehens--ively use descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis method.Based on the theory of planned behavior,the behavior of square dance members to participate in village committee election and its influence factors were analyzed.The study found :compared with non members of the group,there are differences in the behavior of participating in the election of the village committee,but the difference is not obvious;in the case of control individual basic characteristics,participation attitude,mandatory norms and descriptive norms of subjective norms,self-efficacy and control ability of perceived behavioral control,willingness to participate is associated with the electoral participation behavior;participation attitude,mandatory norms,self-efficacy and control ability positively influence their willingness to participate in the election,while the model norms does not affect the willingness of participation;participation attitude,mandatory norms,self-efficac--y and control ability positively through willingness to participate in the election of the intermediary role has positive influence the conduct of the election;the support of the government has a positive regulatory role in the process that willingness to participate in the election transforms into the participation participation behavior.Therefore,this paper sets out corresponding countermeasures and recommendations in response to these issue and analysis result:rural women to participate in village elections by square dance to improve their awareness,self-efficacy and control force;square dance organization to strengthen the spirit of women political participation;in--crease support for square dance members to participate in the election of the village committee by government;promote the development of the rural organizations such as the square dance in order to hatch the village governance system and so on.Hope to make a contribution to the deepen research to promote the square dance,other women self organization and village committee elections and the development of promoting rural women political participation and village governance.
