In recent years, With the rapid update of computer hardware and software, the development of computer simulation technology has been greatly promoted and it has been widely used in the military field. Due to the special nature of military training, training personnel in the past can only be carried out by way of live ammunition training,need to spend a lot of cost and has a low safety factor. The use of computer simulation technology can not only reproduce the realistic battle scenes,but also with costing lower and higher safety factor, so the countries all over the world have invested heavily in the field. Military combat simulation system of early traditional are mostly designed for the single objective function, content is boring,leading to low efficiency of the trainees,already can not meet the needs of modern national defense.As stated above, this thesis takes the team combat simulation system project as the background, designed and developped a distributed team combat simulation system by using the Unity3D engine and the ExpeditionDI wearable virtual reality platform.In this system, each simulation node is connected to the same virtual battlefield environment by the way of network connection. the specific work of this thesis are summarized as follows: (1) proposed a design framework of team combat simulation system based on the Unity3D engine, including engine layer, data layer,platform layer and application layer four levels,each level of a clear division of functions,a connection and interaction between various simulation entities for warfare simulation unit.(2) the virtual battlefield of the combat simulation system is completed, and the rendering efficiency is optimized by using of (Level, Details, LOD) and the method of terrain block loading.(3) the ExpeditionDI wearable virtual reality platform is connected to the combat simulation system; a highly immersive combat simulation environment is created and The smooth control of human posture data is realized.(4) the intelligent decision-making system of virtual force is designed, which includes the following modules: information perception, behavior decision and action execution, and the behavior decision module is mainly developed by the behavior tree.Finally, this paper summarizes the experience, achievements and shortcomings in the development of team combat simulation system,and puts forward some suggestions for improvement.
