The Comparative Study On Marx’s Freedom Theory And Hayek’s Freedom Thought

Freedom is always a matter of human inquiry and an ideal of human pursuit,however,at all times and in all countries people understand freedom in their own views.In this paper,the author firstly summarizes and analyzes the development process of Marx’s freedom theory and the freedom thought of Hayek,and holds that Marx’s freedom theory is not static,but a dynamic development process.But Hayek’s freedom thought is constructed in criticizing the theory of classical liberalism and debating with Keynes.Secondly,by comparing Marx’s freedom theory and Hayek’s freedom thought,it is found that there are some commons and differences between them,what they have in common is that they insist on individuals are free and should not be controlled by external forces.But they are quite different in realizing the path of freedom,Marx believes that practice is the fundamental path to realize the freedom,that is through the practice to transform the objective world,develop the productivity,and a chieve material wealth fully.Labor will no longer maintain the means of survival,but become the first need of people,so as to realize the individual freedom and comprehensive development.Hayek believes that to achieve the freedom is to limit the power of the government,to delimit the administrative actions of the government boundary.He believes that the spontaneous order is the basic order of the development of the whole society,and only limit government behavior will be better promote the freedom development.He also emphasizes the rule of law is the protection of achieving freedom.Finally,through the comparison,it is found that Marx’s freedom theory has already transcended the freedom thought of Hayek.Becase under the condition of capitalism,Hayek’s freedom thought only represents the freedom of the bourgeoisie,and can not realize the dream of the freedom of all people.His freedom thought is abstract,one-sided,and untrue.And Marx’s freedom theory not only has the reality of the material conditions to support,but also in line with the law of historical development,so it has the reality.
