The Research Of Political System And Governance Performance Under The Condition Of Culture Capital

All the time,the development of economy and political system are considered by people as the main reasons for a country's governance performance,though the influence by culture has always been ignored.Not until Pierre Bourdieu came up with the concept ‘cultural capital' in 1980 s,scholars and politicians started to pay attention to the influence of a country's governance performance by cultural capital.However,how cultural capital influence it and what's the logical relationship between them? Based on these two questions,this thesis come up with three hypotheses: 1.For countries with same democratic system,the relative influence to governance performance will comes from cultural capital disparity.2.For countries with different political systems,cultural capital disparity will appear on their political systems and influence their governance performance at the same time.3.The development and evolution of a country's governance performance by political system has correlation and logicality with the country's changes in its own cultural capital.The positive research in this thesis for these three hypotheses above uses two different methods which are historical system comparing and quantitative analysis.On the aspect of the index of cultural capital and governance performance,this thesis fully refer to some authoritative research institutions which include WGI,Freedom House and Amnesty International and some authoritative reports such as United Nations Human Development Report,GII and National Crime Rate Reports.After confirming the index of governance for research,this thesis choose the USA and Mexico as a sample and the UK and Italy as another since their political system are quite similar.At the same time,this thesis set two samples which have different political system from each other,the North Korea and the South Korea,China and Singapore.By comparing and analyzing the difference between cultural capital and governance performance among these four samples,it is going to find out their correlation and logicality.After positive analyses,it appears that countries' cultural capital will have dependence influence to their governance performance in same political system countries,otherwise the cultural capital disparity will have different degrees of influence to the establishing and executing of their political system which could develop into different political environment and have influence to governance performance.Then this thesis starts from changes of China and Singapore's cultural capital since these two countries are typical endogenous and exogenous Asian country.By studying the logical relationship between cultural capital change and governance performance,it comes a conclusion that a country's cultural change will have influence to the establishing and executing of its political system which will influence its governance performance and development of society.At the end,this thesis brings up some recommendations to China's featured modernization construction from the conclusion mentioned before.These effective schemes are aimed at achieving and maintaining China's long-term high-speed stable development and will be presented in three aspects which are strengthening the construction of socialistic culture,normalizing the behavior of government administration and cultivating personal cultural capital from macro,meso and micro perspective respectively.
