| Migrant workers,a kind of new labor force,who emerged during the process of the reform and opening of China,the industrialization and urbanization.They have being made tremendous contributions to the economy of China.Most of them live in city for long time and hope to enjoy equal outcomes of urban development.However,the urban-rural dual system makes them out of door of the Public Services,which makes migrant workers lack a sense of belonging to city.When migrant workers aren't satisfied with the current situation in city,it would cause the political and social risk.One of the most conspicuous results is the great threat to the migrant workers' trust in government.In order to effectively solve the problem which migrant workers are facing,Central Committee proposed a strategy of new urbanization--achieving the goal of making the willing migrant workers urbanized gradually and orderly.Therefore,under the background,this paper studies the status and the influence of migrant workers' trust in government,which has a great important practical meaning.Based on the national survey of migrant workers in 2014,this paper presents the status of migrant workers' trust in government and uses the method of hierarchical regression to research the influence of Public Service and the urbanization of Chinese Rural Migrant Workers to the trust of migrant workers in government.The main content of this paper is divided into five modules.The first module is introduction.The first part of this module is to straighten out the background and significance of this research,the theoretical and practical significance of improving the migrant workers' trust in government.The second part of this module is to review and comment relevant literature.Based on the relevant review,this paper puts forward its research perspectives.The last part of this module is a brief description of the research idea,research innovation,research methods,the deficiency and content of research.The second module is the design and sample of research.This module is divided into two parts.The first part is definition and operation of related concepts--Migrant Workers and Trust in Government.The second part introduces the data resource,which is mainly about the design and modification of questionnaire,sample selection,the collection and analysis of data,field survey implementation and descriptive analysis of the main variables.The third module is the analysis of the status of migrant workers' trust in government.It found that most migrant workers' trust in government didn't reach at a high level.The new generation of migrant workers' trust in government is lower than the first generation of migrant workers;Most of migrant workers are skeptical of government officials and the official media,but they are more likely to trust in public policy,the value of communism,the Chinese Communist Party and government agencies.The fourth module is the analysis of the factors of migrant workers' trust in government.It is mainly to measure the relationship among the demographic characteristics,human capital,political efficacy,political attention,Public Services,urbanization and the trust of migrant workers in government by the method of multi-level regression analysis.Under the condition of making demographic characteristics,human capital,political efficacy and political attention as control variables,this paper research the influence of Public Service and urbanization to migrant workers' trust in government.The fifth module is research finding and policy enlightenment.It is mainly to summarize the findings and conclusions of this study,and put forward policy recommendations to enhance the trust of migrant workers in government.The study found that Public Service has a positive influence to the trust of migrant workers in government;The urbanization of migrant workers also has important impact on migrant workers' trust in government;the higher the economic integration is and the rich the social capital is,the higher the level of migrant workers' trust in government;community engagement has a negative impact on the trust of migrant workers in government;working time,gender,and the income also have a negative effect to the trust of migrant workers in government.Based on the above findings,this paper put forwards some policy recommendations,including broadening the scope of the basic Public Service,strengthening the interaction of migrant workers and urban residents,smoothing the channels of migrant workers' engagement in community,improving the vocational education of migrant workers and cultivating the political efficacy of migrant workers. |
