Although the number of Non-Governmental organizations increase rapidly and they undertake a huge social responsibility to hundreds of millions of people,its own growth and development has been neglected and forgotten by society.Therefore,the research topic of how to perfect the service system of Non-Governmental organizations is important in sense of both theory and practice for NGOs' self-growth and sustainable development.Firstly,the article studies the domestic and overseas current research situation of Reading Promotion activities and conducts a systematic research on present Reading promotion situation of NGOs in China and divides those NGOs into two basic types: Reading Promotion-Only NGO and Comprehensive-Support NGO and also sums up four Reading Promotion models: donating material,establishing library,developing reading activity and using network platform.The study above shows the opportunities and challenges that NGO faces in Reading Promotion in China.This article will take practical Reading Promotion Project "Wisdom Boat" as an example and use the method of service design and product design to improve the overall service quality of this Reading Project.In order to promote the learning environment of children in China's Midwest.By means of a few common methods and tools in service design,such as Customer Journey Map,Service Blueprint,Stakeholder Map,this article reviews and analyzes this project from the perspective of user experience and stakeholders' needs and reveals the difficulties in "Wisdom Boat" Reading Project which are mainly about communication,resources and environment.The main difficulties are as follows: the high communication costs,improper personnel appointment,the resistance to new concept of reading,the lack of sustainability,the limited resource and negative reading experience.On that basis,this article proposes principles of service design and innovation opportunities and also provides seven feasible suggestions: building up an interactive communication platform,increasing promotion method,expanding resource,paying attention to volunteer group,establishing incentive,using assessment tools and quantitative tools and improving reading environment.Moreover,according to those suggestions,this article shows future business model as well as the future process of user experience and service of "Wisdom Boat" Reading Project.Finally,in light of the negative reading experience in "Wisdom Boat" Reading Project,this article try to solve this problem by improving reading service facility by using Product System Design method.Taking the needs of students and teachers in poor areas into consideration,a reasonable design scheme is proposed on the basis of the principles of safety,comfort,usability,interest.This article tries to enhance user experience in "Wisdom Boat" Reading Project by improving both service and service facility.In order to help "Wisdom Boat" Project to better promote reading in the future,thereby having a positive social impact,as well as providing some useful reference for other NGO.
