During the first women's movement in Australia, women's awareness of freedom and equality began to awaken.Through this women's movement, white women gained the right to be educated, the right to be employed, the right to vote in parliament and the right to be voted, then the family status,as well as the corresponding social welfare is increased. However, being subjected to various historical conditions, women's rights are just theoretical. The existence of the "White Australian Policy" led to indigenous women having no real rights at all, which have led to limited impact on the first women's movement. After World War II,there has been a series of changes in the internal and external environment of Australia. For women, there was a new development space and opportunity in politics, economy, culture, social life and ideology. With the development of the second women's movement in Australia in the late 1960 s,the women's movement began with the radical feminism in the 1970 s and then experienced the post-modern feminism in the 1980 s and 1990 s,and the rise of the third women's movement was just in the 1990 s.The women's movement has been moving towards this trend.Australia was in a period of rapid change and this period was the most influential and most successful for its women's movement from 1970 s to1990s.Not only the liberation of the political field, but also won the liberation of the economic, cultural and other areas. With the development of Australian civilization and social progress, society is in the transition from patriarchal age to equal age,and the Australian modern women's movement shows a pluralistic, mild tendency. The external environment affects the behavior of Australian women.Women only spare no efforts to obtain real liberation,in which economic independence is the foundation. Moreover,in the path of equality and emancipation of women, the liberation of ideas is equally important, but it's still a long way to have the equality in real sense.
