Research On The Effects Of Labor Transfer Of The Rural Economy In Fujian Province

With the improvement of labor productivity in rural areas since the reform and opening up,there have been more and more rural surplus labor force inevitably.The transfer of rural labor force is commonly seen in the transformation from a traditional agricultural society into a modern industrial society as well as the integration of urban and rural areas.After 1990s,an increasing number of rural labor force transferred to other industries in China,exerting a significant impact on China’s economic and social development.The transfer of rural labor force has attracted the attention of more and more experts and scholars,so it has become an important research field.During the integration of urban and rural areas,the rural surplus labor force began to transfer to the cities and towns.In recent years,a growing number of rural labor force has transferred to the cities and towns,making great contributions to China’s economic development.Moreover,in order to improve financial situation,the transfer of rural surplus labor force to the city has become a common phenomenon,and transferring to cities and towns to work has become an important source of incomes for rural families.To increase the incomes of rural residents and to build a well-off society in 2020 are the main tasks of Fujian province.The effective transfer of surplus labor force in the province is the basis for the increase of the incomes of rural residents and the harmony and stability of rural society.This paper in-depth discusses the present situation and characteristics of the transfer of rural surplus labor force in Fujian province,as well as the influence of the transfer of rural surplus labor force on economy based on the investigation,summary and analysis of the transfer of rural surplus labor in Fujian province.This paper summarizes the problems existing in the process of rural surplus labor transfer and new problems raising by it.The paper proposes reasonable suggestions based on the actual situation of Fujian Province,to provide reference for scientific and orderly transfer of rural surplus labor force in Fujian province.The main research contents in the paper are as follows:this paper discusses current theories and related research results of the transfer of rural surplus labor force at home an abroad through literature analysis,as well as the concepts and theoretical framework of the transfer of rural surplus labor force,to lay a foundation for further researches;analyzes and summarizes basic situations and characteristics of the transfer of rural surplus labor,finding that the labor transfer in Fujian province is enormous in scale and has become increasingly rational in structure.Rural migrant workers are dominated by young and male adults with junior high school education background,who mainly work in the second and the third industries for a long time in cities and towns;in view of the characteristics of the transfer of labor force in Fujian province,this paper analyzes the factors affecting the flow of rural surplus labor force,and performs empirical analysis to the influences of the flow of rural labor force on incomes of farmers and production activities in rural areas by modelling based on data provided by Department of Statistics of Fujian Province.This paper introduces two variables such as the number of labors and capital input,concluding that the transfer of rural labor force in Fujian province can effectively and persistently improve farmers’ incomes and rural productivity.The transfer of labor force increases the wage income and thereby greatly improving the living standards of farmers.In terms of agricultural production,the transfer of labor force and the application of agricultural machinery have positive effects on agricultural output value and reduces the use of chemical fertilizers.Based on the CD model,this paper analyzes the relationship between capital investment level(W)with the number of agricultural labors(L),agricultural machinery use(M)and the use of fertilizer application amount(F).The estimated results of the model are statistically significant,and the number of agricultural labors has the biggest influence on agricultural output value per unit land.In this study,unit root test,co-integration test,Grainger test and variance decomposition method were adopted,finding that variables kept stable in first order difference delay,and there exists obvious co-integration relationship between variables,suitable for CD analysis.The results show that there is no obvious Grainger causality between variables,but the number of agricultural labors plays an important role in agricultural output per unit land and the volatility.Finally,this paper summarizes problems existing in the flow of rural surplus labor force in Fujian Province,and also proposes suggestions for scientific and reasonable transfer of rural surplus labor force in Fujian Province,i.e.speeding up rural urbanization and realizing reasonable and orderly transfer of rural labor force oriented at urbanization;further strengthening the radiation effect of central cities,to boost the development of rural areas;proactively encouraging and supporting the development of non-agricultural industries in rural areas;reforming governmental regulations and policies,to guarantee that rural labors protect their legal rights and interests and enjoy equal rights of education and rights to live after transfer to the cities.
