Finance is the core of modern economy, the stability of which is the key of our society. Dispute continuously arises for the huge adjustment of various interests, especially in the financial field. Wenzhou is famous for its private economy and the activity of the private financial market. A famous financial crisis broke out in 2011 which led a bad effect on the development of the local economy. In 2012, the State Council declared Wenzhou as the national financial comprehensive reform pilot area. After that the diversified dispute settlement mechanism actively in order to settle the financial dispute in time. However, being short of enough government function is one of the reasons that the temporary diversified dispute settlement mechanism can not meet the growing demands. Therefore, the research on how the government makes a bigger impact on diversified dispute settlement mechanism is of great practical significance.This paper consists of three parts based on the study about the role of the government in diversified dispute settlement mechanism. The theoretical basis of diversified financial dispute settlement mechanism and government function is discussed in the first part. The analysis of the diversified financial dispute settlement mechanism of government in Wenzhou is provided in the second part. This part also discusses the shortcomings and functions of the diversified financial dispute settlement mechanism of government. How to improve government functions and take some practical measurements on the diversified dispute settlement mechanism for the development of dispute settlement mechanism and social harmony is discussed in the third part.
