To construct the socialist core value system and consolidate a common ideological basis for unity and struggle for the whole Party and the people of all ethnic groups are the two strategic tasks of Sixth Plenum of the 16 th CPC Central Committee.Since then,the central government has repeatedly stressed the need to strengthen the socialist core value system on each Congress and Central plenary session.In 2012,the 18 th National Congress of the CPC stands at a new historical height and makes new deployment and requirement for the construction of socialist core value system.It further emphasizes that the socialist core value system is the soul of rejuvenating and determines the developing direction of socialism with Chinese characteristics.It is in the need of carrying out the study and education of the socialist core value system deeply,guiding the social thought and embodying the social consensus with the socialist core value system.The outstanding historical and cultural resources—red resources,which were formed in the course of long-term revolution,construction,reform practice and led by CPC,have the common guiding ideology,dreamboat,spiritual prop and value orientation with the socialist core value system.They are the specific carriers of the construction of socialist core value system and the excellent resources to promote the construction of socialist core values system in the new era.Firstly,this paper combs the correlative research undertaken in academia on red resources and socialist core value system.On the basis of defining the concept,characteristics,value,the basic connotation and the construction significance of socialist core value system,what the red resources and the construction of socialist core value system have in common is revealed.Therefore,the effective role of red resources in promoting the construction of socialist core value system is expounded.It is the red resources that enhances the education effect,enriches the communication carrier of socialist core value system,and promotes the popularization of socialist core value system.Finally,this paper puts forward the concrete ways to develop and utilize red resources and promote the construction of socialist core value system.They include promoting the red resources development in order to provide socialist core value system construction with rich resources,strengthening the propaganda of red resources in order to create a thick atmosphere for socialist core value system construction,boosting the red resource education in order to provide the socialist core value system construction with an important way,and developing red tourism in order to provide constructing socialist core value system with a vivid platform.
