The Research For The Influence Of Corporate Philanthropy On Corporate Performance

With the continuous improvement of social citizen’s living standard,the strengthening of civic responsibility awareness,which required to fulfill the basic responsibilities of society for the rising enthusiasm,enterprises are joining the charitable donations.As a rational economic entity,in order to achieve the goal of the social benefits of the enterprise and enterprise performance.Corporate philanthropy should take into account the short-term benefits and long-term strategic development of enterprises In recent years,the state-owned enterprises,especially the springing up like mushrooms of private enterprises,corporate philanthropy has become the main force in the cause of China’s donation.The scholars in our country research the filed focus on whether philanthropy have an impact on short-term or long-term performance in charitable donations,and how much? There is no doubt,China a-share listed companies plays a dominant role in the development of the national economy,but domestic scholars research on the impact of listed corporate philanthropy on enterprise performance is relatively scarce,existing research mostly is based on the charitable donation motivation and influencing factors,therefore,to rich extension in this aspect research.In this paper,we build a multiple regression model,panel data by using the listed companies in China from 2005 to 2014 charitable donations.The effects of the impact of corporate charitable donations on enterprise performance and heterogeneity analysis,finally draws the conclusion: First,charitable donations on corporate performance have significant positive effect;second,compared with the state-owned enterprises,charitable donations of non state-owned enterprises performance impact is more significant.This conclusion for the enterprise how to charitable donations provide theoretical reference.At the same time,Through the discussion of this problem,the importance and necessity of the enterprise to carry on the charitable donation has a strong theoretical support,It is easy to understand China’s private enterprises to participate in charitable donations had a positive influence on enterprise development strategy and enterprise performance,and encouraging more private enterprises to join the ranks of charitable donations,promoting sound and rapid development of China’s private enterprises.The research of this paper has solved the difficult problem of the management and development of the private enterprise in our country,it is of great significance both theory and practice.
