Research On Philanthropy With Chinese Characteristics

The development of philanthropy has been a long history,Philanthropy plays an irreplaceable role in promoting fairness and justice,narrowing the gap between rich and poor, promoting social harmony. SiChuan earthquake in 2008,inspired people in citizen philanthropy boom,then philanthropy in China entered a period of acceleration development.Nowadays,the major issue is how to promote the development of philanthropy with Chinese characteristic.This paper is divided into four parts to study the philanthropy with Chinese characteristic :The first chapter mainly analyzed and summarized the basic connotation and operation principle of philanthropy. based on the holistic perception of philanthropy,come to conclusion that Chinese philanthropy should walk its own path:combination with modern philanthropy and Chinese national conditions,which is different from traditional philanthropy, either the Western philanthropy.Make clear that Chinese philanthropy's specificity is the basis and preconditions to promote the development of its philanthropy.The second chapter mainly elaborate the development and the significant of Chinese philanthropy.The development of philanthropy is a long process,Chinese philanthropy follows the traditional philanthropy, base on that,to achieve innovation and development. Also,the development of Chinese philanthropy has moved with our better understanding on The Marx's concept of charity. We should have complete understanding about the development of philanthropy with Chinese characteristic though systemic perspective and make clear its significant on building a harmonious society,achieving common prosperity,promoting the modernization of governance system.The third chapter mainly analyze the achievements and the problems on the development of philanthropy with Chinese characteristic from four parts:the philanthropic culture,The main donors,the charities and the external circumstances.Be clear about the problem basing on the achievements,searching the breakthrough and the force point on the further development of philanthropy.The fourth chapter mainly make the analysis of Countermeasures based on thoroughly discussion about philanthropy with Chinese characteristic,providing advice on how to promote the development of Philanthropy from four parts:more cultivation of charity culture,stimulating donation activity, better construction of charitable organization and improving the system of laws and regulations.Through the research on philanthropy with Chinese characteristic,promoting the theoretical development of Philanthropy,also providing reference for the development of Philanthropy, contributing our effort to promote the development of Chinese characteristic philanthropy.
