In 1979 the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan brazenly, the Afghan people started to struggle with the Soviet Union immediately. The people of Afghanistan's anti-soviet war get support from the Western countries especially the United States and the Islamic world. A large number of Islamic jihad volunteers participated in the anti-soviet jihad in Afghanistan.With the assistance of the international community, the Afghan anti Soviet Jihad victory, the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan. However, the withdrawal of Soviet troops do not represent the end of the war, the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan brought a series of "consequences" :the expansion of Islamic extremism,Al-Qaeda and the Taliban are rising.With the US military presence in Saudi Arabia and the outbreak of the Gulf War, Al-Qaeda rapidly go on anti American Jihad road and merged with the Taliban, Afghanistan became the terrorist camp and a source of outward transport of terrorism. At the end of the war against the Soviet Union, "Afghan Arab Mujahideen" returned their countries, and tried to spread extremist ideas. A large number of Islamic extremist organizations emerged in the Middle East, terrorist activities emerged in endlessly,and the Middle East became the hardest hit by terrorism. At the same time, under the guidance of Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, A large number of Mujahideen were dispatched in Central Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe, America, and even Xinjiang in China to embodiment jihad mission, the seeds of terrorism as they have spread to these areas, stirring the whole world.After the "September 11" incident, domestic and foreign academics have carried out research on terrorism from different angles. However, there are few topics on the relationship between the "consequences" of anti Soviet war in Afghanistan and the spread of terrorism. Based on the importance of the Afghanistan anti-soviet war on the spread of terrorism, this paper attempts to start from the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, analyzed in detail the legacy of the war in Afghanistan and the spread of terrorism.The paper consists of three parts: introduction, text and conclusion. The introduction part introduces the basis and significance of the Paper, reviews the research on the topic selection, and explains the key points, difficulties and innovations of this paper. The conclusion part makes summaries and analysis of the whole dissertation to deepen the theme of the paper. The body part is divided into four chapters to discuss.The first chapter simply describes the history of Afghanistan and its geography, discusses the relationship between the Soviet Union and Afghanistan, analyzes the reason of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and the process, After, it discusses the Afghan people's heroic resistance against Soviet's invasion, and introduces several different types of resistance in Afghanistan. Among them, the resistance organization under the banner of Islamic Jihad has played an important role in the war against the Soviet Union. Finally, it introduced the process of anti-soviet war and the victory of the war.The second chapter analyzes the international community's strong support of the Islamic resistance groups in Afghanistan, it specific analysis the cause of the United States and the major Arab countries' support of Afghanistan resistance organizations and the specific funding situation. It is the funds and weapons of the assistance to Afghan resistance organizations, the establishment of the religious schools, training camp as well as a variety of the spread of "holy war" thought that greatly stimulated the expansion of the islamic extremism. Al-Qaeda was born during the anti-Soviet war and in the context of expansion of this extremist ideology. The third part of this chapter, it makes a brief discussion of the establishing of Al-Qaeda, the development of a turning point and its development.The third chapter analysis that Afghanistan gradually became the stronghold of terrorism after the war. It introduces a student armed Taliban,which was also generated by the anti-soviet war, analyses the causes of the rise of the Taliban, introduces the establishment of the Taliban regime and its extremist policies. It Analyzes the important role of a key figure of Osama bin Laden and Omar in the process of confluence of Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, It discusses that after the confluence the Taliban evolved into a extremist regime and Al-Qaeda was even more rampant. Finally, it analysis that the “islamic revolution” policy of the Taliban and a series of violent terrorist activities of Al-Qaeda has gradually made Afghanistan become the command center of terrorism.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the spread of terrorism after the anti-soviet war in Afghanistan. It describes the way of the spread of terrorism, including: the spread of extremism, to strengthen the construction of extremist groups, and to carry out terrorist activities. At the same time, it analyzes the proliferation of terrorism in the Middle East, central Asia, South Asia, southeast Asia, Europe, the United States, and xinjiang, etc. Al qaeda, the Middle East islamic extremist groups and Afghanistan Arab jihadists that participated in the anti-Soviet Afghan jihad have played an important role in the process of the spread of terrorism.
