Case Studies For The Establishment Of Salvation System For Domestic Violence Towards Women

The field of domestic violence studies has drawn worldwide attention and many landmark outcomes have been achieved. In China, for the past decade, significant results have been achieved in the field of domestic violence intervention. In this article, on a basis of the case studies in China, and use oversea experiences as references, the current status and salvation options of domestic violence towards women have been discussed.This article contains four parts:an introduction, where the definitions, causes and salvation were stated, followed by the materials and methods were used in this study; the second part summarizes the current states of domestic violence towards women based on the case studies have been published on public media in Qingdao. In detail, the news reports about domestic violence in Qingdao Daily, Qingdao Evening News, Qingdao Morning News and Old Age Newspaper of recent five years were collected and analyzed. Firstly, three typical cases among these reports were chosen for detailed analysis, including the reason and results of these cases. The results showed that the main gender of domestic violence victims was female, and many violence cases caused severe consequences. The main reason of these tragic events was the lack of salvation system; in the third part, the salvation options for domestic violence are analyzed and point out the deficiency of this salvation system and its causes; the final part gives some suggestions for a effective domestic violence salvation system establishment, including legislation, judicial salvage non-governmental organization (NGO) platforms. Use public media reports as samples, this article gives suggestions for establishment of the salvation system for domestic violence towards women, provides a reference for the process of against local anti-domestic violence and victim salvation.
