With the development of economic and decentralization of government pow er, non-profit organization in the number and size have a significant growth. They make up a certain extent in the aggregate social resources to provide public services, building a harmonious society by the lack of government and the market, and they play an important role as the third largest socio-economic sectors. However, non-profit organizations faces some challenges columns including financial governance that is a key issue in the development and growth. By sorting out relative problems, we find that the lack of efficient supervision in external organization is one of the important reasons resulting in its poor operation.With its unique acumen and extensive features, media monitoring played an important role on the financial governance of nonprofit organizations as an external oversight, and is independent of the legislative, judicial and executive outside the "fourth party of power" in the Western world. It was not until the last decade, academic was preliminary affirmative and was gradually attention on the treatment effect of the media monitoring. Some scholars can really questioned the role of the supervision and management of the media.In order to explore the actual role of the media, combined with the actual situation of China's non-profit organizations. We put forward to three hypotheses, select in 2013 based transparent network 553 Index Fund as a data sample,wield the theory of the asymmetric information, the Principal-Agent Theory is as the research basis, and make use of empirical approach es such as Descriptive Statistical Analys is, Regression Analysis and Robustness tests. The research attempts to carry out an empirical study of the role of media monitoring and government regulation of financial governance for non-profit organizations,and government supervision has the effect of governance for the media monitoring.The results show that:(1) the tendency of media reports on NPO significantly improves the level of financial governance of NPO;(2) local government's supervision improves NPO financial governance and enhances the media monitoring. The findings of the research provides empirical support for understanding the monitoring role of media, as well as make contribution to understanding the effects of media monitoring and the role of govern ment supervision in NPO financial governance.
