The academic degree is an academic title or academic honorary title awarded to the individual and is also a kind of scale and standard,with which the national or educational institution evaluates and measures the academic and professional technical level and educational degree,as well as learning quality and knowledge ability.The traditional Tibetan Buddhism temple's academic degree system is a Sutra learning system and academic degree promotion system taking each sect as an individual.The three-level academic title system of Tibetan Buddhist is a kind of new Tibetan Buddhism academic title awarding system by absorbing the new method of modern education based on the historical experience of Sutra learning tradition in the Tibetan Buddhism temple and academic degree examination.The Tibetan Language Buddhist Institute is not a regular higher educational institution,nor a traditional temple education.It is a modern management Buddhist Institute to specialize cultivating advanced talents of Tibetan Buddhism with the love of country and religion,and is also an implementation unit of three-level academic title system of Tibetan Buddhism,and is mainly responsible for recruiting the studying Buddhist that has ever learned and practiced five theories in the temple.The Tibetan Language Buddhist Institute plays a positive role for maintaining the harmony and stability of Tibetan area,promoting the adaptation of Tibetan Buddhism and socialist society,innovating the management of traditional Tibetan Buddhism temple and servicing the economic and social development.The establishment and implementation of new academic title awarding system,formation of uniform,complete and continuously cohesive three-level academic title education system of Tibetan Buddhism plays a very important role for cultivating the new-century Buddhist talents of Tibetan Buddhism and meeting the wishes of Buddhist obtaining the different academic titles.The sustainable development of Tibetan Language Buddhist Institute depends on the implementation of three-level academic title system of Tibetan Buddhism.It is currently urgent for the Tibetan Language Buddhist Institute to solve the problem how to promote the implementation of academic title system of Tibetan Language Buddhist Institute and constantly cultivating the excellent Buddhist talents with the Buddhism achievements and moral cultivation for the purpose of promotion and development of state and Tibetan Buddhism.Therefore,this paper discusses and researches the conditions of implementation of academic title system of Tibetan Language Buddhist Institute through the literature analysis,field survey and contrastive analysis to mainly analyze its current state of development and differences with academic degree system of traditional Tibetan Buddhism temple,modern colleges and universities,Buddhist Institute of Chinese Buddhism.This paper also systematically analyzes the current state of implementation and existing problems of academic title system in Sichuan Tibetan Buddhist Institute.Meanwhile,for these problems,this paper explores and proposes suggestions to promote the implementation of academic title system in Sichuan Tibetan Buddhist Institute based on the advanced experience,which provides the theoretical support for the establishment and innovative development of three-level academic title system in Sichuan Tibetan Buddhist Institute,thus beneficially complementing the relevant studies on implementation of academic title system in Tibetan Language Buddhist Institute.
