Margaret Atwood,as one of the Canada's most outstanding contemporary female writers, has received more and more attention from the academic world. Her short stories are diverse in style, rich in intrigue, and equally worthy of research but often overlooked.Margaret Atwood is a writer with social responsibility and profound feelings.Although her short story does not have the characteristics of fierce feminist writing, she is full of care for women's living conditions. Her short stories have shaped the authentic female images of the group and have thus become a huge experimentation place to find ways for women to escape from the predicament of mobility, contradiction, and passiveness. In her writing, because of the imprisonment and segmentation of space, discrimination and oppression of identity and gender, women are in a predicament.Margaret uses different methods to escape from the predicament by fleeing and returning to constant shocks. However, the difficult situation of women's survival is not formed in one day,and it is also unlikely to be solved within a short period of time.Margaret,as a female writer, feels this responsibility and uses her writing to redraw the fate of modern women. The dissertation focuses on Margaret Atwood's Dancing Girl,Blue Beard's Egg and Wilderness Tips, the three short stories.Through textual analysis, theoretical thinking and exploration, the paper concludes that Margaret's deep concern about the state of women's survival.Firstly, the first chapter is the introduction and research summary, which summarizes the purpose of the paper's writing, the significance of the exploration, and the status quo of research, and also briefly explains the writing ideas of the paper. The second chapter classifies and summarizes the female characters in the three short stories.According to their different situations, they are divided into three categories: liquidity, contradiction and passivity, and then will analyze their characteristics and causes. This leads to the third chapter of the dissertation. The reason why women have three kinds of morphological characteristics is precisely because they are in a predicament and have formed a female survival problem.Women's predicament is the result of the combined effects of various factors, but the fundamentals can be analyzed from the aspects of the imprisonment and fragmentation of space and women's own body. However, all of these women, like Margaret, bravely faced the dilemma and tried hard to escape from the predicament and survive. This is the theme of Chapter 4.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the female writer's female escape and regression in two ways to try to get rid of misery. In order to escape from the predicament, not to escape from life, but to live better,Margaret did not describe the stories with pessimistic emotions and perspectives.Even though it was a long and difficult way to get out of the predicament, they did not give up.Margaret transforms her collection of short stories into an experimental place. The women she writes are essentially ordinary people in real life. She holds the heart of awe and love for nature and life, writing for women and real life, helping women to seek the way of survival.
