The piano suite“The Three Folk Songs in the South of Yunnan Province”is created on the foundation of the Chinese traditional folk music,combining with the skills of the western piano suite by Zhang Zhao.The piece of work is made up of three short and delicate songs with independent headlines.The musical materials are from the folk scene that the author is familiar with in Yunnan.We can know the content easily from the three headlines.The three songs with different styles combine in order,so that they show us the folklore、folkways and beautiful landscape in Yunnan,which look like three active scene in our eyes.The thesis has a very good analysis of the music ontology、artistic feature and performance.The music ontology analysis summarizes the rules and characteristics in overall structure 、 form structure 、 modes and characteristics 、styles and writing after analyzing the form、 harmony and melody.The artistic feature includes the presence of title concept、the folk style of the melody and the creative technique of making foreign things serve China.Finally I sum up my opinion on the performance of the work.
