A Study On The Narrative Art Of The Chinese Aged Subject Documentary

No matter what the market value or the artistic expressive force,the old people are not the object of the film and television works.So,some people say “the documentary is the poison of the box office and the old are the poison of the documentary”.The image of the elderly is almost lost in the documentary ecology of China before 90 s.With the acceleration of the aging process in our society,the documentary on the subject of old age has gradually emerged.More and more social forces have begun to pay attention to the living conditions of the elderly.This article is based on the old documentary narrative content,narrative rhythm,narrative perspective,narrative time and space,and the observation of the elderly documentary for nearly thirty years which also combined with his creative documentary “old university” experience to explore that the old documentary should pay attention to the process of creation and the corresponding problems of the narrative strategy.This article mainly consists of five parts.The first chapter is the introduction,focusing on the document on the subject of old age,and summarizing the development characteristics and development trend of the past thirty years.The second chapter,from the angle of the narrative connotation,analyzes the main contents of the theme in the old subject documentary.The third chapter,based on the slow rhythm of old age documentary,puts forward four ways to find solutions through commentary,music,details and suspense settings.The fourth chapter discusses the narrative perspective of the old subject documentary,and enriches the narrative level through multiple perspectives.The fifth chapter analyzes the characteristics of the spatio-temporal relations involved in the old subject documentary,as well as the transformation of the history and the realistic time and space.With the research method of literature,the case of study,the method of problems and solution in the process of self-practice,the narrative art making a documentary on the subject of old age is recorded in a popular language and provides some insights for theacademic research of the ecology of the old age documentary.
