From the perspective of Guizhou Opera,this dissertation regards the popularization mode of the "instrumentalization" of Guizhou Opera performed by the Chinese national orchestra of the Guizhou Theater as the subject.Against the backdrop of the Guizhou’s successful application for intangible cultural heritage of Guizhou Opera and based on some theories and methods of the Ethnomusicology,this dissertation analyses this mode in the following aspects: background,reasons why it exists,characteristics and developing trend,the authorities and their art works.This dissertation begins with macroscopic views and illustrates the "historical process" of Guizhou Theater and its national orchestra diachronically.And then synchronically,the dissertation analyses the declaration of intangible cultural heritage,drama protection policy and the development of folk music in Guizhou,which influenced the existence of Guizhou Opera and the promotion mode of “instrumentalization”.After that,from the microscopic point of view,the dissertation analyses the meaning of the "instrumentalization" mode,the creation and practice of the "instrumentalization",and interpret the advantages and disadvantages of the mode in following aspects: the test itself,the value of this mode,rethinking and settling the existing problems.According to the two views mentioned above and several aspects,this dissertation is divided into the following five chapters:Chapter One: The development history of Guizhou Theater and its national orchestra in Guizhou.This chapter traces the development history of Guizhou Theater and its national orchestra in different phases with the transition of some milestones.Chapter Two: The generation and meaning of the popularization mode of "instrumentalization".This chapter analyzes the causes of the "instrumentalization" popularization mode from many aspects and explains the meaning of the mode by using the theory of "instrumental vocal music".Chapter Three: The practice of "instrumentalization" popularization mode-the creation and performance of art works.This chapter summarizes the ideal of creation,practice and characteristics of "instrumentalization" with two typical masterpieces.Chapter Four: The value and development trend of the popularization mode of "instrumentalization".This chapter analyzes the meaning and development trend of "instrumentalization" popularization mode,and summarizes its advantages.Chapter Five: The limitation of the popularize mode of "instrumentalization" and action tracking of all-directional development measures.This chapter analyzes the limitations of the "instrumentalization" ’s promotion mode,and draws the conclusion that the mode should be developed with other measures to promote the Guizhou Opera.Above all,the conclusions of this dissertation are as follows: the development of the "instrumentalization" popularization mode should aim at showingthe "instrumentalized" works,highlighting the dominance of the Guizhou Opera and its music,combining with different elements of folk music,highlighting the artistic and cultural characteristics of various ethnics in Guizhou,playing an active role in promoting Guizhou Opera,national music cultural by making the most of the advantages and avoiding the disadvantages.
