Investigation And Analysis On The Musical Style Of The Classical Folk Song:The Orchid Flower

“Lady Lan Huahua” is a well-known northern Shaanxi folk song,whose lyrics and melody embody the distinctive local style.Since ancient times,North Shaanxi has been an important stronghold for the country,and to this place,many scholars and soldiers have devoted their feelings as well as their lives.Rural people born in this bleak land worked hard and struggled in difficult times,and they expressed their feelings through songs.Such songs then developed into a type of conventional music,namely northern Shaanxi folk songs,which can be divided into three categories: work songs,Xintianyou,and minors.It is precisely the open-mindedness and uniqueness of the local folk songs that makes it significant to study the song “Lady Lan Huahua”.Today,diverse cultures coexist in the world and national vocal music has been continuously developing.Against such background,it is necessary to preserve the original local singing style of folk songs and their distinctive characteristics.Folk songs,just as the name implies,originate from life,and they are the authentic portrayal of people’s lives.Moreover,characteristics of folk songs are a vivid reflection of a certain geographical environment and specific folk customs.Therefore,while exploring the development of national vocal music style,based on the author’s study experience and the influence of the local environment,this paper examines the combination of national vocal music and some elements of local dialect,including singing style,national customs,and cultural characteristics.At the same time,the author hopes to provide reference and insights of national vocal music for its enthusiasts through continuous accumulation of experience and knowledge in life and practice.By recording thoughts regarding this folk song,this paper explores and analyzes its geographical features to introduce the long history,historical culture,and the charm of northern Shaanxi folk songs.The purpose of this study is to reveal the style of such folk songs.In addition,to understand the distinctive features of national vocal music,this paper focuses on the analysis of the singing style of the northern Shaanxi folk songs.Through various resources such as existing online literature,video and audio materials,and related documents in libraries,this paper conducts its research and exploration from the aspects of vocal music singing,performance style,and music language.This paper begins with an introduction,which introduces in detail the paper’s research purpose,research methods,and ideas that the author intends to express.As the study’s starting point,the first chapter explores the song’s artistic background by analyzing the environment where the composer developed the work and the theme of the work itself.The second chapter further explores the song’s artistic style based on its musical expressions and the author’s seven years of learning and practical experience in the field of music.In the end,the author returns to the theme of national vocal music singing and conducts analysis of the singing of the northern Shaanxi folk song “Lady Lan Huahua”.
