On The Representational Expressionist Painting And Its Application In Watercolor Painting

For thousands of years,realistic painting has been the main school of painting,which is determined by the function of painting before photography.With the invention of photographic technology,realistic painting has been challenged by people,and the emergence of impressionism and other art schools has changed the tradition of people’s objective modeling of nature.Then impressionist painter Cezanne first brought the subject consciousness of the people to painting,put the real back to the subject and object in a state of unity that implements the drawing of the perceptual and the rational combination of object object.On this basis,representational expressionist painting appeared.The concept of figurative expressionism first by the French art critic let Clare(Jean Clair)is proposed,named after some painter’s artistic style,these artists have in common is to look at the world through the object to explore the visual reality,to the phenomenological theory as the support,reveals the essence of painting.Giacometti,Morandi,Arikha and others are outstanding representatives of representational expressionist paintings."What is the truth?" The problem,he argues,is that reality exists only in the sight of any experience.Morandi and Arikha are looking for a vast inner world behind the ordinary things around them through the phenomenological view.Each of the artists is trying to grasp the visual reality on the basis of their own painting language exploration.Based methodology first figurative expressionism painting by the painter Mr Si Tuli lap in the early 1990 s in China,and introduces the basic methodology of figurative expressionism painting teaching,giving new Chinese painter painting ideas.We are turning to creation of watercolor painting,watercolor painting was introduced into China in one hundred time,however,many people still try replication reproduce naturally in the picture,there are also some painters try from a different Angleto show our true selves.In this paper,I try to analyze the viewpoints and ideas of the representational painter,and summarize the new ideas of watercolor painting by presenting the method of painting creation.
