An Angelopoulos Film Study From The Perspective Of Nationalism

The Greek film director Theo Angelopoulos is recognized as "The last modernist film master" of the 20th century.His political criticism film made a serious and rational thought of the Greek modern history which lays Angelopoulos's deep concern about Greek national culture and history.The political dimension of Greek nationalism as long as the culture and historical dimensions of Greek nation constitute the basis of his criticism.This article intends to analyze the nationalism criticism in Angelopoulos's films,then discuss how Angelopoulos's films examine modern Greek nation from the perspective of culture and history.Furthermore,this article attempts to discuss the Balkan Peninsula's ethnic issue in Angelopoulos's film.
