In recent years,people are paying more and more attention to nonverbal behaviors,and the research about Chinese class nonverbal behaviors are gradually increasing.Based on the Chinese class of two colleges in China,this study investigates the relationship between nonverbal behaviors and teacher-student relationship in class.The results show that there is a direct relationship.This study consists of five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction part,mainly introducing the purpose,significance,method and train of thought of this research,and summarizing the relevant literature and abroad.The second chapter summarizes the definition,classification of non-verbal behavior and its significance in Chinese class,including auxiliary language teaching,regulation of classroom teaching and expression of emotional attitude.The third chapter is observation.The author records and analyzes the non-verbal behaviors presented by Chinese teachers and students in the classroom by means of video recording.It is found that the largest proportion of non-verbal behaviors among teachers is symbolic gesture.The fourth chapter is the questionnaire survey and interviews with teachers and students.The questionnaire collects the attitudes of Chinese teachers and students on the nonverbal behaviors of each other in classroom.The statistical results show that the nonverbal behaviors in the classroom can affect the relationship between teachers and students,and students are more likely than teachers to be emotionally related to decide their learning attitude.Interview results show that the factors that impede the emotional development of teachers and students both individual and cultural.The fifth chapter analyzes the influence of classroom non-verbal behavior on the relationship between students and teachers,and puts forward some suggestions.The author discusses the following five aspects:visual language,facial expressions,body movements,time and interpersonal distance,paralanguage and appearance.Finally,this article puts forward some teaching suggestions for Chinese teachers and foreign students.
