| In this dissertation,a comprehensive research method based on comparative method is used to investigate the specifically historical and artistic background of the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty,a Chinese landscape painting master,the outstanding representative of the pico and one of the "four monk painters" in the early Qing Dynasty-KunCan(1612-1673).With the zenist thought of KunCan as breakthrough point,this dissertation makes a multi dimension examination and analysis on his life,the artistic conception of landscape painting,the characteristics of landscape painting,the artistic value of the landscape painting and the analysis of the representative works.Combined with KunCan’s life history,the art features of his landscape painting are deeply studied and analyzed,which suggests the internal relations between the concept of personality,the concept of painting and the painting style,as well as the interactive relationship in the external environment of the painting world in the early Qing Dynasty.The special contribution of KunCan to the development of Chinese painting is his insight and communication of the close connection between the Zen and the landscape painting,and life with Zen to guide his life and art.In the treatment of tradition and innovation,he can dialectically deal with the relationship between the two and learn ancient but not the ancient,which is the spiritual and cultural connotation of Chinese painting.China painting is in constant change and innovation in the evolution of the forward.It is also historically and naturally forming a national spiritual quality on the art and culture.This dissertation attempts to give an appropriate value judgement to the position and significance of KunCan artistic thought and practice achievements in the history of Chinese painting. |
