This is a Japanese-Chinese translation practice report. The original translation practice is the fifth chapter of the series "Challenges of Mahayana Buddhism","Education--the possibility of believing in people".Chapter 5 "Writing Ability,Thinking Ability—The Method of Teaching Composition of Shoko Kubo," and Chapter VI "Reading-self-formation and the construction of external imagination."The text belongs to a social science dissertation. The first part discusses the source of Makiguchi pedagogy and the outstanding spirit that can still be carried forward today. At the same time,it also introduces in detail the specific process of Makiguchi's inquiry composition teaching method. The second part of the book records the memory of the president of the Ikeda SGI(International Souka Gakkai)and Japan's education and liberal education in the United States.By translating the contents of these two chapters.the author hopes to provide some new ideas for the education industry and related educators in China. This report uses Nida's“functional equivalence" theory as its methodology. While reviewing the translation process of the above two articles,it also summarizes some of the problems encountered in translation and the solutions. The content of the report is divided into three parts:The first chapter discusses Nida's functional equivalence theory and explains its applicability to this report. The theory advocates that translation is the use of the most appropriate, natural, and reciprocal language to reproduce the information of the source language from semantics to style.Translation is not only the peer also includes semantics, style and style and so on,to convey the message translation of both surface vocabulary information also has deep cultural information on the lexical meaning. The translation process includes analysis, translation, reorganization, and verification. One of the most complex and critical steps in the analysis is the focus of Nida's translation studies. This is also the focus of this translation practice. How to translate the original text from semantic to stylistic is the focus of the report. In the end,Nida's translation concept was introduced.Nida believes that translators should abandon the concept of the original language and cannot absoluteize the original language. At the same time, they must also fundamentally re-examine the translation. On the basis of clarifying the main points of functional equivalence theory, the second chapter of the report introduces the specific translation process.First of all,it is clear that the content of the two papers is about education, and where the education concept is common with the education in our country, how to realize the equivalence between the original text and the translation from semantic to stylistic, and the accuracy of the educational concepts and ideas contained in the text To convey it is the focus and difficulty of this article.Under the guidance of Nida's functional equivalence translation theory, the practical issues in translation steps are discussed in detail, focusing on the analysis of how to achieve the unification of surface vocabulary information and deep cultural information in the analysis of this stage, and records the translation Difficulties. The third chapter discusses the issues raised in the previous chapter and discusses how to use specific strategies such as meaning adjustment and structural adjustment in the reorganization stage to resolve difficulties in the translation process.By analyzing the translation of specific examples, the use of Nida's functional equivalence theory,to explore specific translation strategies, with a view to the translation of the same text to provide a reference.
