On The Singing Treatment Of The Aria "You Are My Heart’s Delight"

Franz Lehér(1870-1948)is a Hungarian composer who works mainly with operas.The opera has a light and graceful tune,a smooth and natural plot,and a rich artistic appeal.His works "The Land of Smiles" and Puccini’s "Turandot" also use the Chinese legend as the theme and the music is rich in characteristics of traditional Chinese pentatonic scale.The tenor aria "You Are My Heart’s Delight"(Dein ist mein ganzes Herz)in the opera,which is melodic yet difficult,is a compulsory course for lyric tenors.This paper,by comparing the versions of famous Chinese and foreign singers’ singing,aims to find innovative ways of singing different from previous ones.This paper is divided into three chapters: The first chapter is a sketch of the aria " You Are My Heart’s Delight";The second chapter deals with singing treatment,which is the core part of this article.By referring to the versions of prestigious tenors in the world and then combining them with characteristics of my performance and concert practice,this part analyzes the tempo,tone and pitch of the singing with the aim to achieve “Second Creation”that suit oneself.Singing and training methods are also included to solve relevant singing problems;The third chapter is a summary of feelings and experiences in singing the aria " You Are My Heart’s Delight " to achieve sublimation.
