Goal orientation is an individual's cognition of the purpose or cause of the achievement.Specific to the education situation,that's the perception or understanding of students for the purpose of the pursuit of academic achievement.Goal orientation is closely related to the effort level of students learning,intrinsic motivation,extrinsic motivation,learning strategies and other factors,which will affect students' academic task selection and academic achievement.Error management belongs to the learning strategy,which is a way of personal knowledge management.In the process of English learning,mistakes are often made,which is a unique resource tailored to students,and effective error management is conducive to the improvement of students' academic achievement.This article does a research on the development characteristics of goal orientation,current situation of error management about 897 junior middle school students through questionnaire investigation and educational experiment,and discusses the relationship between goal orientation,error management and English academic achievement,and then constructs the error management training plan,through the intervention experiment study to examine the error management training results.The result of the study is showed as follows:(1)The goal orientation of junior high school students is significantly different in gender,grade and different academic level,and the mastery-goal orientation is dominant.(2)There are significant differences in the error management level of junior high school students in gender,grade and academic achievement.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between error management and English academic achievement.Goal orientation has a significant correlation with English academic achievement,and there is a significant correlation between goal orientation and error management.(4)Error management total score plays completely mediating role between the relationship of mastery approach goal orientation and English academic achievement,of mastery avoidance goal orientation and English academic achievement,of achievement avoidance goal orientation and English academic achievement;error management total score also plays a covering role between the relationship of achievement approach goal orientationand English academic achievement.(5)Error management training can significantly improve the error management level and English academic achievement of junior middle school students.
