The given research deals mainly with structural and semantic features of English mass-media neologisms, further with the addition of the psycholinguistic approach in order to show the relation between these structural and semantic features and psycholinguistic approach(cognitive processes of readers and listeners).Talking about the methodology of the given thesis, first of all takes continuous examples for analysis from various English printed,as well as the Internet publications(including“quality papers”,such as the Guardian, the Times, the Daily Telegraph)of the past few years, and television(Channel 4 News),radio broadcasts(The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, the Sunday Hour on BBC Radio 2)at language level(structure and semantic),situational level and cultural level that can be interpreted by each formation model for the new words. On the basis of psycholinguistic approach in the methodology part there will be described cognitive processes of human beings, how does the interaction between reader’s attention and the methodology used by mass-media proceeds. Then,an analysis of core derivational patterns of English language for the purpose of their role in the formation of mass-media neologisms will be conducted, which will be able to show high efficiency of contamination processes. The major findings do answer directly the research questions as follows:(1)What are significant features that capture the formation of neologisms?(2)How does the process of understanding neologisms works?(3)What is the relation between structural and semantic features of English mass-media neologisms and psycholinguistics?...
