The ways in which humans receive knowledge and elevate their level of self-knowledge are mainly the acquisition of direct experience and indirect experience.Most of human knowledge acquisition comes from indirect experience,while indirect experience is mostly preserved in the form of text and graphics,so as text and graphics The main way of understanding is that reading is the main way for an individual to obtain corresponding indirect experience.Reading comprehension ability and effect determine the acquisition effect of individual indirect experience.The individual differences of readers and the nature of the reading materials will have an impact on the effectiveness of reading comprehension.Novice readers have weaker prior experience.Compared with expert readers,novice readers have relatively weak reading comprehension and reading comprehension.This is also the reader's first time to read new materials.However,there are many ways to classify reading materials.Formal classification can be divided into text and graphics;according to subject classification can be divided into physical,chemical and biological,etc.;according to the difficulty classification can be divided into simple materials and complex materials.Faced with the nature of different reading materials,the experiment chose to use complex physics knowledge with text and graphics as reading materials,and explored the differences in the reading comprehension effect of novice readers on complex physical knowledge with text and graphics as medium.The study intends to use a combination of EyeLink 1000 Plus eye tracker and questionnaire survey to study the reading process of 105 college students.Experiments were conducted on the different presentation styles of texts and graphics.Thirty subjects were randomly presented with three types of materials(text,graphics,text + graphics).The results of their recognition and index of eye movement were tested and analyzed by relevant statistics.The results show that the combination of text and graphics is the best way to present the reading materials.On the basis of the results of the experiment,the second experiment focuses on the simplification of the text materials.The text materials and graphic materials with a simplified degree(not simplified,moderately simplified,and heavily simplified)were studied,and the results showed that the text materials and graphic materials that are not simplified are presented in a better manner;based on the results of experiment 2,the experimental three pairs of graphs Whether or not material cues were used as material presentation methods to conduct in-depth research,24 subjects randomly presented two types of graphic materials and wireless data cables(without physical cues and physical cues).The results showed physical cues.Graphics and text materials are best presented.Therefore,after three experiments,it was determined step by step to reach a conclusion that,for the complexity of physics knowledge,the texts and material presentation patterns with physical clues are not simplified,and their reading comprehension effect is the best.In the face of novice readers' study of complex physics knowledge,reading materials can present more detailed textual information and graphics with physical clues to promote readers' reading comprehension process,and enhance their understanding of knowledge and mastery of skills;teachers are in multimedia Classroom courseware production can also follow this principle.The combination of graphic and textual courseware is more conducive to the student's classroom learning effect.At the same time,textbooks can also use this principle.If knowledge is more complex and difficult to understand,more detailed texts can be used and The presentation of graphic materials in the form of arrows and serial numbers reduces the cognitive processing load on students and promotes students' understanding and application of knowledge and principles.
