After the "September 18 th Incident",in order to strengthen its colonial reign over the northeast China,Japan handed the auto transportation in this region to the authority of "Manchukuo Railway",so as to secure the stability of Japanese colonial regime.With a study on "Manchukuo Railway" governing over the unified control system of auto transportation,the article intends to reveal the essence of Japanese colonial control,military transportation and economic plunder in the northeast China.As one of the important invasive means,"Manchukuo Railway" had the authority over the unified control system of auto transportation,that is,a monopoly system of auto transportation under the control policy of "Manchukuo Railway" to serve for Japanese invasive war and colonial rule.In this system,there were two running models: the state-run model and private-run model.The so-called "state-run routes",referring to transportation lines in the colonial northeast China with significant political,economic and military functions,were under the direct control of "Manchukuo Railway" as the dominant part in the transportation system,while the "private-run routes" referred to the rest short transportation lines with no strategic significance.Private running was possible in principle,however,the majority of these private-run routes were actually run by the subsidiaries controlled by "Manchukuo Railway",with Dalian metropolitan transportation corporation as a primary representative,which controlled the whole private-run routes after the integration organized by "Manchukuo Railway" upon the establishment of the unified auto transportation system.It was evident that "Manchukuo Railway" had put the whole auto transportation in the northeast China into Japanese monopoly control system and the unified control system of auto transportation was the vital safeguard for Japan to transport strategic material,plundering resources and energy.Meanwhile,road construction and route expansion needed a great deal of overloaded labor,adding the burden of people in the region.So it is fair to say that the auto transportation system controlled by "Manchukuo Railway" was the important means of Japanese colonial reign over the northeast China and a significant part of Japanese colonial dominating system.
