The Study On The Relationship Of Parenting Styles,self-control And Personal Responsibility Among Midddle School Students

Personal responsibility,as an important psychological personality trait,has an indispensable role on the healthy growth of young people.At present,the research on the sense of responsibility for middle school students in our country is mainly focused on the study of social responsibility,and there is little research on the personal responsibility of middle school students.In this paper,840 middle school students were surveyed by self-revised middle school students' personal responsibility scale and self-control dual system scale(DMSC-S)and Parental Rearing Questionnaire(PBI).We explore the status quo and characteristics of personal responsibility,as well as the relationship between parental styles,self-control and personal responsibility of middle school students,in order to provide scientific basis for the cultivation of students' personal responsibility.Research indicates:(1)Self-revised secondary school students' personal responsibility scale has 17 items,which is composed of three dimensions:self-control ability,emotional behavior control ability and self-affordability.The scale has good reliability and validity.(2)The average score of the students 'personal responsibility,self-control ability,the emotional behavior control ability and the self-affordability are higher than the theoretical value;the middle school students' personal responsibility grade is significant differences on whether the only child or not,grade,family economic situation and so on.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between personal responsibility and parental styles.There is a significant positive correlation between personal responsibility and parental styles,except that there is no significant correlation between personal responsibility with parental encouragement dimension.(4)There is a significant positive correlation between personal responsibility and self-control dual system.Which is negatively correlated with the dimensions of the impulsive system,and are significantly positively correlated with the dimensions of the control system.(5)There is a significant positive correlation between the self-control dual system and parental styles,except for the significant negative correlation between the dual system and parental control.There is a significant positive correlation between the impulsive system and parental control,while the impulsive system has a significant nagtive correlation with fathers' love,parental encouragement.There is a significant positive correlation between the control system and parental styles,except for parental control.(6)The middle school students' parenting styles,self-control have a positive effect on personal responsibility.(7)Self-control plays a part of the intermediary role on parental styles and personal responsibility.
